Hi everybody,
This may not be a direct EAD question, but this may be the closest relevant forum
. Here is the scenario. My MIL (from India) visited us in 2003. She obtained a 10 year visa at that time and spent 4 months in the US. At that time, I had a H-1B visa, which I had sent to her as part of the supporting docs. My H-1B visa is expiring in Apr-05(six years is geting over in Jun-05). But I have my EAD now which expires in Aug-05. My MIL is planning to visit us in Mar-05. I had a couple of doubts on the following:
(1) As she has a 10 year multiple entry visa, she can book the tickets directly without any Consulate visit, I guess??
(2) Once she reaches the US, at the US customs point, how long will they issue the I-94 for. Will it be for 6 months(last time it was). Or because my H-1B is expiring, will that be the end date. Or will it be my EAD date? I am really getting worried about this.
I guess my basic question is, how is the 6 months I-94 period figured out? I had sent my supporting docs almost 2 years back. Will they check that record again? Do I need to send any supporting docs from here??
I really appreciate any response to this.
