EAD Card-wrong sex

Received the EAD for my wife and the sex was mentioned as 'Male'. Has anyone the experience of correcting their entries on the EAD card and the process. Will calling the INS office at Nebraska and pointing out this mistake help? If so, will a corrected EAD card take another 6 months of wait time !
 
Generally You are supposed to send the wrong EAD to get a corrected EAD. Make enough copies and get certified from a notary *and * the company lawyer. Meanwhile...

Try calling and fix the error. Write to them with a copy of EAD. If service center asks for the actual EAD, then only then send it.
