EAD - Bio or no Bio

I am now confused.

My paper-based EAD was received by USCIS on Jul 2, 2008. Today, after 84 days (no LUD), I called USCIS to enquire about my case.

I was told that I need biometrics and that I should get an appointment letter in the mail by Oct 24th.

My co-worker who applied at the same time received his 2-year EAD card about one month ago. No Biometrics required and processed thru the same lawyer at the same time.

Also, when I informed them (USCIS) that there were no interim EADs anymore, they told me that it was misinformed and that interim EADs were still issued.

I just need the truth! Is that asking too much?

Paper based = no bio
efile = bio
but in the world of USCIS eery thig could happen, wait and see

you are correct mmed.
When I went to VSC to get my biometric done for EAD (e-filed), the lady who was helping me did not know that the bio required only for the efiled EADs. She was telling me that every EAD applicant (papaer or e-filed) need bio done.

EAD approved for Spouse, but only one year extension ? Why?

Hi,
My wife EAD renewed and got only one year extension than two years today.. We both are from India and PD is NOV 2004. Does anyone has any ideas why this happened/ Anything to correct it?

------------our lawyer email reply--------

I don't know Ravi. I wish I could give you an answer, but I am not sure as
to how the USCIS works half the time. I will keep an eye out for your
documents.

Thank you,
Heidi

Thanks Heidi. So, does it mean my wife is going to get GC in by EAD
extension expiry date due to visa number availability for her? My EAD
extension approval is not yet come.

By the way, on the other note, yesterday I have posted our AP's renewal docs
for your office address and you should receive on Thursday.

Best Regards
Ravi
