I applied for my 4th EAD on July 07, 2006. Until now I haven't received any response. Since it's been more than 90 days and I contacted local field office for an inquiry. No change in the LUDs of my I-765 case since July and I-485 case since Nov last year.
I think most of the people in this portal know that there has been big change in issuing the Interim EADs. Local field office are not allowed to issue interim EADs any more.
My current EAD expires on Nov 15. So, the field officer said I'm not in bad condition and placed an e-mail inquiry and asked me to contact them back like end of october. Officer also asked me to use the toll free customer number for further inquiry.
Guess what ? It didn't help much as the processing dates shows July 03 for I-765s they said that they can't even place an inquiry.
Though the interim EAD memo says the I-765 case must be adjudicated before 90 days. We can't talk all this law points to the immigration officer...because we are at their grace.
My lawyer told me that they have few cases like this and there has been some bi-specialization things going on in USCIS service centers.
Though I have more than 30 days left for my current EAD expiration, I'm just being slightly nervous here. I'm currently working on EAD and doesn't have H1.
People's thoughts and advices would really be very helpful.
