EAD approval for the case filed in Jan 2007

I filed for EAD renewal on Jan 17th through paper filing

Following is the receipt dates and LUD's for my wife

Receipt Date 01-19-2007
LUD 01-22-2007 (recepit notice update)
LUD 03-19-2007 (production of the card ordered)
LUD 03-21-2007 (application approved)

Got the card on 03-24-2007 in mail

Following is my receipt dates and LUD's

Receipt Date 01-19-2007
LUD 01-22-2007 (recepit notice update)

It is good that my wife got her EAD card but the bad part is that my LUD is still 01-22-2007. Does the INS not process the cases that are filed together?

We both are waiting on I-485 approvals though

The USCIS is not processing the cases in the order they receive, you can say plus or minus two weeks.
So expect you within the next two weeks or so.
The other important issue, I extracted from someone add at trackitt.com, in the same situation exactly like you. His wife got her EAD one month or so ago and he is not. He paied 1000$ for premium processing his I-140 thinking that may expedite his EAD. The USCIS returned back the $1000 to him because they can not process his request in 2 weeks "they are waiting for security background check".
I think your wife security background check is cleared and yours not yet may be something else. give them few weeks and see
 
I thought security and background checks are performed on I-485 applicatons and not on EADs. Please correct me if I am wroing. Now-a-days, are they doing security and background checks for EADs as well ?

I think for females they do not do any security or back ground check. Is that correct ?

I think so, they are doing security check on I-485, the point is that EAD application is built on pending I-485, so if Security check, for I-485, is cleared, the officer who will issue the EAD will know that, and mostly will issue the EAD, if not cleared, still my thinking, the EAD will be delayed to approach the maximum allowed time (90 days) after which it will be issued or the applicant will make Infopasses to get it or the interem one. In the momo of the USCIS regarding that, they said something like, the EAD may not be issued due to security reasons!!.

For females and males, they do security check equally, many men got their GC and their wifes stuck in name check for years.
 
AP approval notice timeframe

Dear Friends,

I got the approval notice for AP on March 11, 2007 , still I have'nt received approavl notice. Typically how long does it take to receive the approval notice by mail?.

sorry for misquoting the content, I got the AP approval email on March 11 and still waiting for the approval notice document

EAD Approved but no Card yet

I need help

This is for I-765 EAD application:
On 3/15/07 - I got "Card production ordered" email
On 3/19/07 - I got "Approval notice sent" email.

However, I haven't got the card or any documents yet until today 3/29/07. Is that normal? What can I do to check if it got lost in the mail?

Which center are you with? I am with NSC and my approval notice was sent out on March 10th and I received it by March 15th, including the card. You should call up customer service and inquire about it. Also, check your online status, if the post was undelivered your message should say somthing like "Was returned or undeliverable". Goodluck and keep us posted.

Hi,

I had similar situation, my AP was approved on Mar 16 and I never got the notices in mail. When I contacted my lawyer, all the notices were sent to them. Check with your lawyer.
 
I filed my I-765 application concurrently with I-485. I sent it paper-based to Nebraska CIS office. I did it myself, no lawyer.

I called the Customer Service found in the email, 800-375-5283. The automatic machine said I had to wait 30 days. I checked on the website, the status is the same:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On March 19, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

Any other way I can find out what's going on?
