EAD and SSN

Dear friends,
I filled I-485 and got EAD for my self and my wife, but we are maintaining H1 & H4 stats. My wife got SSN from her EAD and using that number in bank accounts (never worked, stay home). Will it change her status from H4 (original) to EAD?
If yes, Is it necessary to renew her EAD until GC?

She is on H4 status and AOS pending
Only if she Workes using EAD, then she has to enter US using AP, if she is not going to use EAD she is on H4 till the time your are maintaining H1B

If yes, Is it necessary to renew her EAD until GC
** It is not necessary to renew EAD for her, but if she wants to work in future she should have valid EAD

Having EAD, AP does not invalidate H4 status if you are on valid H1B,

getting SSN does not make her H4 invalidate. Only Filing I-9 with employer -using EAD will invalidate H4. As long as your H1 is valid, her H4 is valid.

It will be prudent to keep renewing her EAD, so that if there is an employment opportunity, she can take it without waiting for EAD.
