EAD and AP

I have a valid, EAD and AP till 12/17/02.

I have a receipt notice for a renewal of EAD and AP dated July 7, 2002 at TSC. It seems it is taking longer than usual to process EAD/AP applications at TSC. My question is that if the specified time on my EAD and AP receipt has passed and I still have not recieved my new EAD card, can I continue to work for my current employer after the expiration of my existing EAD which expires on 12/17/02.

Please advice about what I should do in case I have not recieved my EAD till 12/17/02.

Take your EAD receipt, 485 receipt copy and current EAD to local INS office or to the nearest district office and get interim EAD.

If the message is a standard one, try calling the service center during office hours and find out what is happening.
