E-file for EAD Renewal after First EAD expiry

I would like to apply for EAD renewal using e-file . My previous EAD expired in November 2003. I did not apply for EAD since I am still on my H1B. I would like to know if i can e-file since my first EAD already expired.

If I can, is it considered
a renewal of my Permission to accept employment or
Permission to accept employment.

Any suggestion will be highly appereciable.
 
You can apply online cause each EAD pplication is a new one there is no renewal actually. Just provide all documentation. But recent reading of these forums indicate that it is better to file by mail. Thats my reading check on ur own
