All,

I applied I 765 online on May 29. I am basicaly from VSC. but when e filed, my case has reciept number as MSC03xxxxxxx.

is this the case with all e-filers. any reply appreciated

Was that the online receipt or the actual receipt notice? You will receive a separate receipt notice in mail.
Please let us know whether it is different from MSC?
 
Online EAD

Hello there.
I also applied online and also got an MSC-03-XXX-XXXXX receipt number both on the web receipt as well as the one they mailed to my home.
I'm currently in a bind! I applied so late for a renewal EAD.
my card expires 7/9/03 and i just applied to VSC online with an RD=5/31/03 and a ND=6/2/03.
I am hoping against hope that by some miracle, it gets approved BEFORE 7/9/03 especially with the new online system.

My job is solidly secure so they won't fire me or anything but i may have to get an extended UNPAID vacation until my EAD gets approved.

I went to the NYC local center and was in and out in 15 minutes.
It is also quite convenient since they have all my data and they took a digital photo of me that they like, so no problems there. Also took a fingerprint of my index finger.

what do you guys think?
 
I applied online at VSC and got a EAC number.

Is the online status reflect the fact that you went to support center for photo and fingerprint? Not in my case.

I'm going to travel on AP soon and has to switch to EAD when coming back. Worry about if I can have it renewed ontime. iEAD is not a pleaseant experience here at NYC.

Those who have done it online, please shed some lights here. Thank you.

Yeah right. as usual BCIS wants us not to make any assumptions or prepare ourselves with thumb rules about processing or even the type of receipt notice..
It is interesting to note that MSC is coming into the picture to save lots of people...
I think that you can try for the 90 day argument from the online receipt date...
It wont hurt you to try with NYC BCIS office everyday (after all you are not on payroll then... dont you) and show your pathetic face to make them give the interimEAD. However Grim and shameful it sounds, I would not put myself past that behavior...:(
 
E-FILED EAD and Online message

E - Filed for EAD on 05/31 and receipt date is 6/2.Went for the FP and Image collection on 6/5.The case status now says
"On June 12, 2003, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 60 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case"

Anything to be concerned about or is it just the usual message???

Make me feel a little better. My FP/Photo is on 6/14, haven't seen online status update so far.
 
That's weird, I also applied for a replacement EAD online and this is what it says...

Your I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION was received on May 31, 2003. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 60 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

Did you get a request for an RFE after your FP/photo?
 
Maybe I should start worry. Mine is e-file, but unlike everybody else, got EAC number. And it has been 10 days since appointment FP, still no status update :(
 
Hi,

I filed my EAD on May 29th and got 10 digit EAC #. One June 7th I went to local ASC for FP and Photos. Until yesterday my on-line case status didn't changed. It used to say On May29th we received.......

Last Friday I mailed all supporting documentation (to be on safe side) and this morning my case status changed saying that On June 24th we received response for RFE......

I still don't know it's because of my supporting docs or BCIS received FP/photos from ASC.

What a relief! At least one fellow with me if the ship goes down :D I didn't mail support document much later. Don't remember when, but should be late last week. All digits crossed, as I might have to go on EAD soon.
 
efiled EAD with EAC-xxx) numbers that is whose application went to VSC, their status is being updated. But for efiled application whose files went to MSC, didnot get updated. I think MSC is too slow and doing noting i think.
 
I believe that the udate on the web is clearly based on whether supporting documentation were sent or if the BCIS asked for additonal information and the RFE was recceived. The update/change on the web is a reflection of the data sent - whether to VSC or to MSC.
 
I filed on June 9th, sent supporting docs immediately, but the online status says that application received and receipt mailed. But no update on whether they received the docs or not. I FedEx'd these, so I know they got it.
 
EAD Online Filing

What are the supporting documents need to be sent?

We did the finger printing and Digital Photo for my wife after filing online and getting appoinments immediately.

My processing has been going on in CSC but right now I come in VSC area. So I filed on 05/29/03 online and then went for photographs for 05/31/03. But is still says as " We recived your application on May ... Bla bla & is taking between 60 to 90 days".
I got EAC 03XXXXXXXX.But uptill now I have not sent any supporintg documents for that. This is my renewal of EAD card. Am I supposed to send them.
Pls let us know.
