Ok, going by the same post you have spread out all over the forum, you're beginning to sound like you got married for the purpose of benefitting from your girlfriend/wife's DV selection. In view of your age and the timing of your marriage, I would be deeply concerned too if I was in your shoes, and if I was the CO conducting your interview (unless it's a standard practice in Nepal for 18 year olds to get married).

Your marriage would most likely be scrutinized at the time of your interview, you will need to establish you've been in a relationship with your girlfriend long before the DV results' announcement and that you already had plans in place to get married when you did. You will also need to convince the CO that you have the financial capabilities to sustain yourselves or you have US based sponsors to ensure you don't become a financial liability on the US government. Your wife's meeting of the minimum educational requirement will not be enough in your particular case.

Yes you can be sure that you can do your interview in Nepali if in Kathmandu.

Mitra dv pare pachi pani vihe garna milcha sahi sayit ta juraunai paryo, as there are some people who got married after the dv result ( ie just after 1st of may) and checked their entry status later and found that they have been selected, so I don't see anything wrong with that.

But in your case no body actually gets married at the age of 19, although there may be some exceptions, since you said you both are about 19, so you better have good explanation and reason for this.

BTW you both can also go visit the US embassy at Kathmandu, on Wednesday and Friday after 2 pm and make your queries there too regarding this matter.

Only documents not in English needs to be translated, generally these will be your birth certificate and marriage certificate (if any).

These documents should be translated by authorized translator, in Nepal they are notary public authorized translator attorneys, if you go to Maitighar area at Kathmandu you can find a lot of them there.

btw Municipality don't do translation and you don't need any of your documents to be attested by ministry of foreign affairs for DV purpose.

You might be right about attestation, however I just made the Nepali Birth Certificate issue by Ward Office in English from Lalitpur Municipality today! So apparently they do THAT!

I had transcript, character, migration, provisional all with me so I presented everything I had. Better order for it soon and don't worry as DV 2014 interview will only start from October 2013, so you have plenty time for that.

I don't think migration will be necessary now as it is only useful when you change the university.

I applied in my University to get the transcript, provisional and migration certificate, so you should contact your University exam controller office.

so in your interview you just showed +2 Transcript and Character Certificate? Is that the same if I am applying here in US(AOS not CP)?

I have already answered this question above please read the above posts.

I don't know about AOS as I did CP in Kathmandu, I don't know if there is any different rules for AOS for your eligibility, so I think it should be same, also please check with the AOS thread.

guys i need a slight help.
i sent my files to kcc through fedex and they confirmed the delivery on 3rd june 2013. then i emailed kcc to confirm my delivery. then i got back an email from them which just said that they have received my email. they did not mention anything about further proccessing of the documents. i'm quite sure i sent them the email with my correct case number, full name and date of birth.
so i'm confused whether everyone who inquires to kcc get similar sorts of email or am i the only one.
can anyone who emailed them say what kind of reply we them from kcc initially.
Plz help!!!

what does current refer to

guys i was selected for dv lottery 2013 in second lott and waiting for second letter. my case number is 2013AS000103**
when i checked the visa bulletin for the month august there is written as "current " so what does that really mean.
what is my probability of receving the second letter..?

That means you will have a chance for second letter but it will depend upon the no of visas available.
If they cross the limit before your case number, then they will not send the second letter. There also comes the country limit (7%).

So basically no one can say what will happen. You just need to wait...

Yes someone else can get police clearance certificate on behalf of you and they must be your relatives because police department will ask for the proof of some valid government issued certificate / documents showing your relationship with the applying person. Documents may be a relationship certificate issued by municipality or vdc office showing your parents and siblings (also brother/sister in law). Birth certificate or citizenship certificate mentioning your parents and grandparents.

So by this someone else can only be your siblings, brother/sister in law, parents, grandparents, your children or grandchildren, I think that's it.
They don't accept application from friends as no government office issues friendship certificate.

I am a dv winner of 2013 and am in us now. I'll be happy to help. This means they have received your documents. It's better if you call them and ask if there are any documents that are missing or need to be resubmitted
