DV2014 EUROPE - Switching from AOS to CP

Hey guys,

I think I did something wrong.
I'm DV Selectee 2014EU52xxx and currently holding a H1B visa (valid for at least 3 years). I live in Los Angeles.

I've been to USCIS in person and they say I have to do an Adjustment of Status. So I sent my intention to KCC to file for AOS.
They send me back a confirmation letter for AOS.
I already paid the $330 fees.

After reading this forum, now I know that my chances to get the GC via AOS with a high number is close to 0.

Should I switch from AOS to CP ? Is there a specific document for that?

I've found this advice on the forum : "call KCC to ask them to make the change, it's just a click for them".

Thanks for the answer.
Best of luck for everyone.

If you're changing from AOS to CP, you will need to do more than "call KCC to ask them to make the change, it's just a click for them". You will need to send in an updated DSP-122 and DS-230 forms to KCC, on the DSP form, you will need to indicate your applicable embassy on the DSP form. Do note though, the $330 DV administrative fee you've already made will not be applied to your CP processing. You will need to make another payment at the embassy at the time of the interview.
