Hi to ALL DV 2006 EU winners, that doing AOS. Any interviews yet?
I am EU4XXX and no interview invite yet.
Well good luck to all of us!

Hopefully, you will receive your interview letter soon. I had my interview on June 5; it lasted only 10 min and I was told that I was approved... Even though, my background check was clear and my rank is EU5XXX, the officer told me that I still have to wait for a visa number to be available.. So, it is concerning..To me, it feels like I am on a wait list now. I would highly recommend calling USCIS or making an appointment with them to make sure that everything is going smoothly..

NOA: 10/25/2005 Biometrics 02/25/2006 Interview Letter: 05/12/2006 Interview: 06/05/2006 - Approved but no PP stamp.. Waiting for a visa # Green Card ???

Hi ipek,
I will have my interview on the 10th of July. I have a question for you. In the list of things to bring for interview it says evidence of payment of 100 dollars fee to department of State. Did u pay something like this fee? How should we dress?? I am o my OPT and living in Hartford/CT.
Thank u in advance and any advice will be so helpful.:)

Merhaba Onur.. I sent the copy of the fee receipt along with my application.. I think I paid $375 not $100 ??? But it was for a fee to attain a visa #. So, during the interview, officer didn't ask me about it.. However, if you didn't send it, have it with you as a proof. For the outfit, there is no requirement, but I would say try to dress business casual.. Sometimes, first impressions mean everything.. I also left you a message on the other thread regarding the financial proof or affidavit of support you were asking about..

Let me know if you have more questions..

Where did yo get the list of things to bring to the interview? Did your interview letter had it or you just found some recommendations from the internet?

My interview letters says to bring this letter and a passport or some other ID. That is it, nothing else.

Of course I will take all that I have, all the documents (originals and copies), translations, contract, I-20s, pay stubs, bank statements, etc.

The list of documents to bring on the inerview varies from one CIS to
another. Here is what I need to bring on my interview, which is in NYS:

US photo id;
passport, I-94;
BC for an applicant and all children (if any);
marriage registration;
employment letter, latest two p-stubs;
federal, state, local tax statements for 2003,2004,2005;
(if necessary) affidavit of support;
I-693 (if was not sent with I-485);
"paid" DVC receipt;
EWI;
high school diploma or qualifying job letter;

But again. I strongly believe that they can not ask more than they
mentioned in the list attached to the interview invitation. However,
they can lose some document from what you already sent them.
Therefore, it is wise to bring all the documents you sent with
I-485 application.

EU5XXX???? This case number was current in December, 2005. Was there a reason why your interview was in June?

No Idea... Actually, I made an appointment in March with them to see when I would have my appointment and they told me that I would have it in July or August, but I had it in June.. I don't know whether it is due to how things are being handled in local offices..In any case, I did everything by the book. I should have gotten the card way early. I was able to schedule an appointment for this Friday.. So, I'll go there and see if I can get more info on my status..

Looks like you did do everything on time. Maybe they were waiting for your name check clearance or something...
Thanks for your response, and good luck!

Ipek when I asked to my local office about interview and why it took such a long time she said last year for Hartford/CT they sent the interview letters sometime between june-july and will be the same this year. I guess each state has different dates. The thing is I went there probably 6-7 times and talked with the same nice lady:) and that nice lady didn;t tell me anything for 5 months except 'wait' then right after that 'last year we sent in june or july' good luck:)

I thought I have to so I did:)

Infopass'de iyi sanslar :) As you are visiting there, make sure to ask them about your issue with DUI.. That might be important.. During the interview, they might want to see any certified court records or arrest records if you had any.. They basically would want to see what the outcome was after you had DUI. If that's the case, you can get them from county clerks office.. Just ask about it to the infopass person to be sure..

tesekkur ederim sana da iiyi sanslar bakalim neler olacak:) I think I remember in the very first DV lottery package I've read something like in USA they can obtain all the records so I guess I hopefully I will not need to get any more extra papers but the good thing is if my DUI was serious thing for them I am thinking they wouldn't send the interview letter while many winners are still waiting. Letss see..good luck everyone

Rica ederim :) Don't worry DUI wouldn't be a big deal, but I have seen other people's experiences that they want to see a court record if this has been the issue.. It seems like they just want to have a record of it for their purposes, it wouldn't prevent you from getting the green card.. But who knows.. A lot of things also depend on the personality and the mood of the officer you talk to during the interview.. During my interview, the guy asked me about my tax return for last year, and I am glad I took it with me even though they didn't ask me about it on my interview letter. By the way, I have a little bit of update on my case.. My I-485's LUD hadn't changed since 11/02/2005 but today it updated for the first time. The message is still same, it says that my case still pending but LUD is now 6/21/2006.. I am just hoping that by Friday, I'll get some sort of a glimpse of home like an approval e-mail so that I don't have to get up at 4:00 am to go to my infopass appointment... Good luck to you at the infopass..

Yeah Ipek you right bringing extra papers are always better. I am happy that they renew the date for your LUD which is good but what is LUD stands for?:) At least seeing something moving makes you feel better even it is too slow. And if this LUD is your receipt number does that start with MSC?

Today I went there with my infopass and asked about my DUI,Sponsor,$100 fee and Employment situation. For the DUI she said get the police and court records. Police department didn't find any record then I went to superior court and got my criminal record which shows my DUI and in says 'dismissed'. So it is ok hopefully will not make problem but also it is a negative for me. For sponsor they said just bring whatever it says in your interview letter but anyway I talked with one of my best friend and his parents will be sponsor for me and on the other hand my father got an english bank statement from turkey showing the amount of money which will be kind of support to my sponsor:) For $100 fee I was so surprised. She said I need to prove that I paid 100 dollars for the application to get a visa while coming here like 3 years ago. heheheh I was like r u kiddin I dont have a receipt because it was 3 years ago and even if i did not pay they would't give me visa right?:) How funny whatever i will show them my visa and will be allset. For employment , she told me that I better find a job before my interview which is 10th of July. I told her that i got offers and still have the emails from the companies but i am trying to find some international business related job which I have studied. But she didn't even listen and they dont care whenever i go there always they piss me off like they ignore you stuff whatever. So we will see anyways when i go to interview I will say I love my country it doesn't matter to stay here or go back home:) good luck in your infopass hopefuly u will learn something about your visa.
