DV Sponsorship Requirements

Hello,

A far relative received a DV lottery from Nepal and they asked me to become a sponsor. What are the documents that I need to provide for them?

I heard that USCIS updated the requirements now and just the welcome letter from sponsor should be okay. Has anyone recently sponsored and speak on that?

Some embassies are okay with a selectee presenting just a “host/welcome letter”. In general, having an I-134 (with applicable support documents) on hand from a sponsor is however recommended.

Sponsor’s IRS tax transcript, W2 and/or form 1099, sponsor’s government issued ID.
