First of all, lets have a civil debate. If you display anger and hostilities towards my contributions, however stupid I may be, then, I respectfully step down from debating you. Now tha we understand each other:
Based on what? The law requires the drawing to be random. It was not. These are facts. How can you not draw a conclusion that the draw was illegal from these facts?
Yes, the draw was random (I studied Statistics, and I know what I am talking about here). However, their random number generator did not produce the results that they were expecting; the generator favoured entries of the 5th and 6th more than others.
You can sue, that's your right. But you will not, and cannot, get a visa as remedy. Only money.
I am not an expert on this and I am not part of the lawsuit. I think only time will tell. Lets wait for the 15th and see. The only law I studied is bussiness law. In those studies, I learnt that if you make someone an offer, and that person respoonds to that offer, and you follow it by accepting their offer in writing, you cannot then turn around and rescind the offer without the consent of the person you had offered it to.
And your brother is better than me why exactly?

Not sure the authour meant to say you are inferior/worse than his/her brother...at least from what I read.

"who will pay for it?" you ask?

My guess is the very ones who wanted a redraw, also want the original winners to be reinstated. Those russians want to have their cake and eat it too.

Tell me I'm wrong.......?

How many of the 22,000 do you think have enough money to pay to even show enough funds for the DV lottery....than you want them to start paying for the lawsuit (lawyers fee) and court costs....Give me a break...do you really think they are able and willing to start paying a couple of hundred dollars towards this lost case?

Do you think a lawyers is willing to start a lawsuit for free...Nope!...even if the lawyer will do it for free, the lawyer for sure is not going to pay the court fees out of pocket! Than the lawyer has to be willing to go against the Depart involved with the DV lottery....which is also related to other departments....Really...what is there to win for the lawyer?

Nobody is ever guaranteed to receive the GC. You have to qualify and than there is also the part included that the officer can deny someone during the interview if the officer doesn't trust everything to be true...

They need only one - to establish the judicial precedent. Others may piggyback on that court decision fairly straightforward (I'm talking about those already in the US, definitely more complex from abroad).
