You don’t have to request KCC to lock up your case after the DS260 form submission, however you may do so if you feel someone else has your information and is able to access and make changes without your knowledge. In that case, you request a lock up, just be aware it wouldn’t be opened for you either if you subsequently contact them to unlock it after requesting the lock up.
