Hello,
I applied on October 2016 and got a confirmation number starting with 2017xxxxxxxx
I believe that I shall check on May 2017 for the results. However, and despite the fact it is definitely not guaranteed and it requires a whole lot of good luck to be selected, I do have few questions to list.
My main concern is names as I see many posts from Egyptian fellows requesting about how to address names properly and it is confusing!
1- Supposing this is my name as it appears in the passport: Omar Chris Yaakov Kaito
I only used the first name (Omar) and the last name (Kaito) for my initial application, and did the same for my spouse and children - Shall I continue doing the same while filling the D260 application and maybe write the whole name in the box for other used names?
2- The spelling of middle names for my kids as it appears in their passports differs from what is shown in my own passport but we all share the same last name.
Example for how my son name appears in passport: Kwame Ommar Chris Yakov Kaito
So, I listed his first name (Kwame) and last name (Kaito) and did not mentioned any of his middle names. Is that correct? Do I need to use the service of public notary for example in order to confirm he is my son and that it is just a spelling issues of Arabic names (I'm Egyptian and these are not real names).
3- I live in UAE with a current address in Dubai since more than 5 years, Can I choose to conduct an interview in Cairo, Egypt or do I have to stick with my current address?
4- Do I have to provide sponsor documents if I attend interview in Abu Dhabi embassy, or is it enough to provide an adequate bank account statement?
5- My daughter's passport expiry date is due by November 2018, is it a big deal? I also have to mention that if I change the passport it will be renewed with a completely different serial number.
Sorry for the very long message, and thanks in advance.
Regards for all.
