I didn't understand the question. Drop what?

2008 dv lottery

drop as in not wanting to go immediately, can join the family members later in 2008 or thereabout.

IF this person wants to have a greencard eventually, he/she needs to go to the interview together with the other family members. And the greencard needs to be activated within 6months of visa issuance (this can also happen after the primary applicants enters the US). But this person doesn't have to stay in the US right away. If the time between the activation of the greencard and the actual moving to the US is too long (over 1year but less than 2years), one can apply for a re-entry permit.

Thanks every one for your contributions.

I have another question to ask "are the dependents expected to present the same documents as required by the applicant on the day of interview?

Someone should please help me, as I would want to be extra careful not to over-impress them at the embassy.

best regards.

Only the primary applicant has to show proof for a highschool degree or enough work experience.... but all the other documents (birth certificate, marriage certificates, divorce papers (if applicable), police certificates, etc.) are required for each applicant.

Btw: Your worry should not be about bringing too much but not enough! Rather take too many documents with you.

you are such a wonderful helper.

I guess children from 1-10yrs are not expected to bring police certificate or are they?

thanks again.

You're welcome.
yeah, I forgot to write that: children below 16! do not need a police certificate.

I am getting worried about the way I filled my form DS-230 Part II.

In the column where you have NAME AND ADDRESS OF PETITIONER, I filled: N/A meaning Not Applicable. My reason was that hence, I did not fill the form in the presence of anybody, the right word should be N/A.

I am afraid that I must have made a mistake. Somebody help me, pls. to assure me that I was either right or wrong.

save me pls

I received my 2nd package yesterday (Jan. 11, 2008). Thank God for that.

I need to be clarified of some issue, someone please help me.

1. In the package there was no hospital mentioned to enable me go for my medical test, but some medical forms where enclose.

2. It is required that one have a minimum of 5 credits in WAEC, NECO or SSCE, but I have 4 and some passes.

What do I do? especially on the question num. 2.

I have anyone gone with less than 5credits?

1) check your country's US consulate's website. There should be a list of clinics where you can have your medicals done. If there is no list, contact the US consulate.
2) what is that stuff? I have no idea of what you are talking about.

Not sure

In Nigeria, the minimum is 5 credit. I dont know which country you'll have your Interview though. On the day of my Interview, 2 pple were denied Visa cos they didnt meet up with the 5 credit stuff. One had 3 and the other 4. I am however not sure if there were exceptional cases.
