Hello, I'm sorry if this seems like a newbee question but here goes:
I am (hopefully) about to file a concurrent I-140/I-485/I-765 to the NSC. The problem is that I have a job waiting for me (based on the EAD I am about to apply for) with a start date of April 1.
I know that the latest "Processing Dates" indicate that such cases have at least a 2.5 month processing time, but I was wondering if this is usually the case. Is it "pretty assured" that the EAD processing time will take as long as the NSC (or TSC if it ends up there) web page indicates? Or do they sometimes / regularly get approved sooner? I know this may be pretty obvious, but I thought I'd ask. The reason is that I've gotten a lot of EADs in the past for my wife on a J-2 (different category from what I'm applying for now), and sometimes they've arrived in 2-3 weeks even though the web page had longer processing times.
I really don't want to piss off my future employer.
Thanks!
