Drop Box facility to end at the consulate!!

everybody:

I have read that the Drop Box facility is gonna end in all the US consulates in India starting July 04. Which means returning and qualified H / L applicants cannot renew/revalidate their visas using the drop box. Now everybody has to appear for a personal interview.

Its said these changes are carried out because of fingerprinting issues.

Is this news / update true? I am planning on going to India, for H1 visa renewal/revalidation. Looks like I have to go thru the crappy appointment/interview process?

Can somebody confirm this news?

------I dont know about this news BUT DOS in US also going to stop Visa revalidation becase of Fingerprints, I think the info is true becase now the need Fingerprints on Visa stamps
