It is Better to apply for EAD even though u have H1

Because u just don't know by when u will get approved and also we don't really know how fast ead will also get approved by the time the h1 is about to expire

I appreciate your reply. Can I have a couple of more Qs for you?
1, After you got your EAD, did you activate it or still using your H1B?
2, Which is better ? to apply H1B extension or EAD? What if your I-485 is denied if you give up your H1B?(I know it is almost impossible, but...)

You can apply for EAD and do nothing means once you have your EAD card if you don't change the I-9 form which means EAD is not being used

Apply for H1B extension its better in case of a denial it will give some time and status to work while you do motion to re-open your 485

Hi Gurus,

I received my I485 RFE today and it demands the following documents.

1) Documentary evidence to support the correct and legal form of my Name.

Reason: As my First Name and Last Name have been swapped in some of my documents(like H1 Paper,Medical and Tax Returns) , My RFE beared the following lines..

"Please submit documentary evidence to support the correct and legal form of your name, as this is the name that will appear on your Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)."

2) EVL
3) Last 2 months paystubs
4) Last 2 year Tax returns+ W2.

My Questions:
1) I have already submitted affidavits from my parents regarding my birth certificate which also have my name printed correctly.
2) Since My Passport shows my Family name as First and then my name as Second, the SSN also have my name displayed in the reverse order.
(ie. My Family Name first then my My Name as last)
3)since the Tax Returns is also filed based on the SSN Name display, It also has the name in the Reverse order..

So Iam really confused as to what supportive documents would I need to arrange so as to proove the UCIS for the correct Name display??
Also, what is the I-551 form???

I shall be very thankful if you folks could come up with any valuable suggestions that waould help me...
I have all other RFE doc ready to be sent except for the first one..(Also Iam with the same Employer since I started my GC process..)

Hi All ,

As I had previosuly said, MY RFE was for copies of i-94. I had send the docs and the Message changed yesterday (10/26) saying that, the RFE has been received.
the LUD changed today too....So hopefeully I can hear something at the earliest....

Got approval email this morning, our case (my wife and I) has been approved yesterday. Finally our nightmare is over. Now waiting for the approval letter and preparing for passport stamping.
