Does it matter if you apply for citizenship before or after marriage?

I'm a GC holder for 10+ years, getting married to an H-1 holder in about 4 months in India. I want to get citizenship and sponsor her for a GC. Please help me answer the following questions:
1. Does it matter if I apply for citizenship now while I'm still single, or after I'm married?
2. What happens if I apply now, and my status changes to married while the application is being processed? Do I have to file an amended application at that point? How does this affect processing time?
3. How long does the whole process take from start to finish?
4. If I apply now, can I travel to India for my wedding while my application is being processed?
5. How long will it take for my spouse to get GC after I file, once I get my citizenship?

You sound young. Did you immigrate as a child? IF yes, did a parent naturalize before you turned 18? If yes, you may be a USC already and all the rest is pointless worry.

3. How long does the whole process take from start to finish? 6-8 MONTHS DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE
4. If I apply now, can I travel to India for my wedding while my application is being processed? YES, YOU CAN TRAVEL. UPDATE YOUR TRAVEL INFORMATION DURING INTERVIEW.
5. How long will it take for my spouse to get GC after I file, once I get my citizenship? 6-12 MONTHS AFTER YOU FILE I-130

Thanks very much for the reply. One more question: What happens if I'm out for 3 weeks and the FP or Oath notice comes in during that time? Can I change the dates for those? What happens if I miss the appointment?
