Does H1B 3 year extension transfer to new employer require I-140 proof?

Hi,
I'm currently in my 7th year of H1B with employer A with whom I have my
LC and approved I-140.

Employer A has filed for a 3 year extension of H1B based on my I-140

I now want to move to Employer B.

If I don't care about porting my Priority Date and want to just
transfer my 3 year H1B extension to Employer B, do I still need to show
proof of my I-140 for doing this?

If the proof of I-140 is required for this, can anyone suggest a way to
get a copy, if Employer A refuses to provide a copy?

I would really appreciate a reply, as I couldn't find an answer to the
above two questions in any forum.

Thanks in advance to whoever answers.

-----------------If ext is still pending you can upgrade with premium processing and can get H1 approval in 15-20 days. once you have extension for 3 years approved B can file H1 transfer and no need of I-140 copy. you can retain early PD if I-140 is approved, talk to your lawyer at the time of second I-140 filing
