Does H1 Approval cancels L1

Hi,

Now iam working with a company in US on L1 Visa (valid till 2007 June).

Another company has filed my H1 Visa in the month of may. As they have to answer one query, i had sent My L1 I-94 to them. Now my H1 is approved.

Please answer me for the following questions: -

Does my L1 will get cancelled starting from october 2006?

Is it mandatory that i need to work for another company starting from 2006 October?

(or)

Does my L1 will get cancelled only after i get my H1 stamped?

Please clarify the above ASAP. It is very urgent

was it filed Change of status from L1 to H1 or it was filed fresh New H1???

Date H1 was filed. was H1 filed when you wre in US on L1 ?
did you get I-94 attached with your H1 approval notice? (look at lower right side of H1 approval, it is NOT WHITE I-94 it has same color as H1 approval notice)
If think they asked Copy of I-94 I think it was COS from L1 to H1
