Does F2 Visa expire?

I am an in-status F1 student in FL. I was back at home in January 2011 and got married and came back to US. Later my wife got F2 Visa valid for 5 years in April but due certain circumstances she would not be able to travel to USA till December 2011. I will still be in status F1 student then. Does F2 Visa also have kind of requirement like F-1 Visa where you have to travel to US within 6 months after you get F1 Visa? Or she would be just fine to travel to US as long as I am in-status and her visa is valid?

There is no such thing is printed on the Visa.

As long as you're still in status, she's still in status. She may have some more explaining to do at the point of entry as to why she didn't come into the US immediately though. But I don't see this as problem. However, you can always double check with the issuing embassy.

Since F-2 is a dependent of F-1, the validity is till principle applicant maintains the status.
