If you have a very straight case, you only need to prepare very minimal numebr fo documents. By straight case I mean no arrest/citation record,
no signicant trip outside USA, based upon 5 years of PR, answer N to all
those questions whose GOOD answer is No.

Then you only need to submit 4 things with application package
(1) filled N-400 form (2) copies of GC back and front (3) two passport photos
(4) a check or money or order

and for interview you perhaps only need to bring yoru actual GC, a passport
and that is it.

There is no hurt to prepare past three years of tax return (get tax transcripts
from IRS is preferred), old passport showing trip dates. But don't get crazy about it uinless you have complications

Thank you WBH.

1) I have not have travelled anywhere outside the USA even for a day after i got my green card i,e Not even Canada or Mexico.
2) Most of the questions that were on the form i had No for everything.
3) Most of the questions where the Good Answer is supposed to be NO were NO

I did have one citation way back in 2008 where the fine was around $100 but i paid it and i also got a receipt for it. It was for some red light violiation. Apart from that, i dont have any tickets.

I also got driving records for the last 5 years showing no enteries.

Only one question that i have. This time when i had filed taxes, i had to pay close to around $2300. I contacted the local office and aasked them if i can pay it monthly and they were OK with it and sent me the necessary forms. Will it cause any issues for me?

Let me know.

Thanks

I don't see any problem. If you answer Yes to Part 10-A-Question 5,
you should bring the monthly installment payment form. For your redlight violation, you do not need to provide doucumentation but only need to disclosie it. To be safe if it happens in your area, go to the court to get court ducumentation but don't bother too much about it If red light occured
in a state thousandof mile away, locat ethe court can call them to send a
certified doc but don't bother to waste time to drive there to get one.

Documents Needed For N400 - Thanks Bob/WBH

Thank you WBH.

I already have all the documentation for my red light violation.

Thanks for all your help. Appreciate your time. If i have any more questions i'll reach out to you and Bob.

You will also need driver's licence :)

In theory you don't. A DL is for Identificatiopn purpose and a GC can substitute for that. But for practical purpose you should bring it if you
have one. IO may check it out to verify your current address

Okay... we need to get you set up with an awesome VACATION once you are done with your oath. You probably deserve it, treat yourself :)

Best of luck with your application. You'll be complete with the process before you know it.

By the way, when you do your FP, you can get a free preparation kit
including hardcopies of above marials plus an audio CD (audio CD
is important for those whose listening comprehension lag behind reading
comprehension). The receptioniost at ASC may offer that preparation kit to you but if if they don't offer, don't forget to ask for it.

The preparation kit is free but it come from your application fee.

Thank you so much. Well, I never knew that. :)

Sorry one more question.

If you are having your green card, you can also work for any part time job right ?? Like for example work in Starbucks, McDonalds etc.. As long as we have disclosed that income while filing taxes that's ok right.

OR is it like...U have your green card and you work only on One job.

You can have any number of jobs as long as they don't violate each other no compete agreement, which has nothing to do with immigration. You must have establish work eligibilkity by filling I-9, which is required for anyone including citizen. If you do not do I-9, don't bother about it. There is no need
to answer Yes to that question "Have you ever comited ancrime or an offense
for whcih you were not arrested?" (in theory, one should answer Yes
if one get a job without an I-9 process)

Thanks WBH.

I followed up with all the proper paper work , completed all the eligible forms and filed correct taxes to the penny.
