Do we need to be present in US at the time of your 485 approval ???

I think you don\'t have to - need to be present at the time of GC stamping

I had a similar issue and checked with the lawyer and his take is that the applicant need not be in the US at the time of i-485 approval. But need to be present at the time of GC stamping.

Can someone tell if children (under 8) need to be present for GC stamping - or can I (parent) take the Passports to the INS office for stamping, along with mine.

No big issues.

deferred inspection only means that the I94 issued at POE will be valid for a limited time and you need to go to local INS to get the 551 stamp.

Thanks of the replies. Another suggestion please ????

My H1B is expired but have an extension approved papers. Also have a valid AP. Do you recommend us to get a H1B extension stamped in our passports or just use AP to get into USA. Please suggest me !!!!! thanks a lot in advance
