Do I belong to this post?

Hi Guys,

All these days i've been reading only H1 visa and F1 visa threads but now i guess now its my time to join this gang as well! My labor is approved from Pittsburgh using RIR and company has filed for my I140 and I485 concurrently from Pittsburgh.

(1)How can i track the waiting period I've? I know there is a link on homepage of this website "Processing Times and Status Checks". Can anyone please suggest me which Link I should go to for finding what is happeing in state of Pittsburgh for I 140 and I485? Will my case be processed at vermont service center?
(2) My GC has been filed for the job of programmer requiring a B.S. degree and two years work experieance. Which category do i belong to?EB2 or EB3 or Skilled worker / professional?

Look in the 2004 tracker (add your case there). Chances are your I-140 and I-485 will be processed concurrently per the Fujie Ohata memo that you are bound to read about in this forum.

programmer76,
The title of your post does not seem to have any relation to ur questions. Are you trying to find if u belong to this earth or to this forum or to this country...
Anyways answers to ur question:
1. https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp
- This is the USCIS website. Create an account and add ur case to a portfolio and u can track the statu sof ur case using this site.
- Go to http://www.immigration.com and search on the page for terms like 'processing times', 'USCIS center', etc.
Since ur user name states: 'programmer', I presume you are comfortable with websites.

2. Most likely you belong to EB3: Skilled worker category. Look in the 140 receipt notice to see the category under which ur attorney filed ur case.

Hi registrationid,

Man give me a break! I just filed my I140 before a week or so and this is my first time in this forum . I don't have any information about my receipt yet and you know how busy are these company lawyers. I don't have my receipt yet with me.

i did check those links on immigration website. But there are only four service centers which are California,Nebraska,Texas,Vermont . I only wanted to know in which service center Pittsburgh belong to.

ETC-GC I read theFujie Ohata memo and i understand from that is that you will get benifit if you file concurrently after 31 march 2004. But does that make any difference the way we track the processing time for vermont service center at this moent?Right now it says that for skilled worker they are processing oct 23 2003. I wonder may be in few days they might add info for concurrent processing cases?

programmer76,

You really cannot track your case or even seek any guestimates on the wait time you have ahead of you unless you have the ND (Notice Date) from the receipts.

Pittsburgh comes under Vermont Svc Center..

We can only hope INS will start publishing a separate processing time tracker for F.O.M beneficiary cases. In reality, I don't see that happenging atleast in the near future.

Cheers

1. Your case will be processed by Vermont Service Center. Check the processing time at:
https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/j...eCenter=Vermont

Try to track cases using 2004 tracker - most of the times VSC works in waves for approvals(based on ND).

2. Most likely you should be in EB3 category. Once you get your Notice(ask your lawyer for it) - check the category.

Re-read registrationid's post. It is very nicely put piece and you will surely thank him once you filter the essence for yourself - very nice way to start 140/485 tracking on personal level. To follow his advice you will need to get case numbers from your lawyer.
