If i want to file for divorce now after i had passed my interview, i have to wait 6 month according to state law to be legally divorced and receive a divorce certificate.

Do i need to notify USCIS when i file for divorce or since i am not considered "divorced" yet by law then i don't have to notify them until i receive a divorce certificate?

You don't have to notify the USCIS until your divorce is finalized. Seeing as you'll most likely be a citizen before the divorce is finalized, you won't have to notify them at all.
 
Note that if you are applying under the 3 year marriage rule and you divorce before citizenship is granted, you'll jeopardize your naturalization.
 
I would recommend to wait till oath before you file for divorce. Hang in there my friend.
 
The OP already confirmed that he applied under 5 year rule in another thread.
Starting divorce proceeding before the oath has no effect on his eligibility for naturalization in this case.
 
Bob i think i am going to add (I APPLIED UNDER THE 5 YEAR RULE) to my sig :) i wonder if it will get the point across...i doubt it

I have a question, I remember i saw a thread that had a link to a site that has a list of Oath dates that are going to happen in the near future. I just want to have an idea what are the oath ceremonies that are coming up.
