Divorcing/unemployed/disabled

I am divorcing my American wife after 9 years of marriage and I am a UK citizen. I am registered disabled (visually impaired). The marriage has a company which I built but my wife hardly never paid me a check so what can I do for unemployment or disability? I am giving her the business so I can keep my house which is upside down on the mortgage.

I am in Michigan and no work here but my house is here and has no value so I cannot move.

What is my status because she was my sponsor. I have a permanent green card which expires in 2016

You have a 10-year green card and have been married for much longer than 2 years, so the divorce will not affect your status.

Spousal support.

Good heavens? Why would you do such a silly thing?

She ran the finances during our marriage and she is an attorney but not a very good one. She has been claiming residence at my home which I have lived at for 4 years but she never lived here and got us into 100,000 of debt that I know of. I woke up one morning to $24,000 of debt on my credit cards. I own a tv and a computer and that is really it. She won't ever show me the books of the company and her credit cards so I have a feeling she is hiding even larger debt and I don't want the liability so if I walk away and she keeps the company and her own debt I might be better of.

I have requested the financial data but the courts are to slow and she knows she doesn't really have to give them to me.

Better to walk and at least keep a roof over my head.

She won't even give me my tax returns so I can modify my home loan which she did nothing about the 5 years at 7.8% which I just found out which is insane.

If your name is on papers, I am sure you can get the documentation by going to the right city / country / state departments.
Tax returns - have you tried calling IRS?

If you want to walk away from the company's debts and have her take responsibility for them, you better have a lawyer help you write up a proper agreement for that. Otherwise, you'll think you've walked away, and then the creditors come after you anyway.

Yeah, you need to man up and actually fight. Otherwise she'll screw you in the divorce just as bad as she screwed you in the marriage.

And if you have no real income, why on earth do you want to keep an underwater house that'll just get foreclosed on sooner rather than later??

Agree with others.
And actually taking over underwater mortgage implies you are paying her more money. If your name is not on the mortgage, I would say walk away.
