DV is CIMT so most likely they will delay the case. I suggest you work with an attorney to get any charges dropped or reduced so that it doesn't have any immigration consequences. Make sure the attorney fighting the DV case co-ordinates with an immigration attorney. Things get complicated with state level charges and what might be a slap on the wrist for a US citizen can lead to deportation for a non-US citizen. Its something to be taken very seriously.
