My wife is working on EAD and her company says that they can apply for H1B as EAD may take longer to come or EAD is not permanent.
---- Let them apply H1b for her (good for her if due to any reason I-140 or I-485 gets denied) EAD taking long time than H1B is NOT correct (if premium processing then employer is correct), no need to update the employer let them file H1b, your wife is working on EAD and now it has to be EAD renewal filed with service center, use form I-765, pay BCIS fees$120 attach I-485 filing receipt and copy of current EAD (both the sides) she will get EAD renewed in 90 days from filling date, she can file herself, no need of employer involvement.
My question is that is it possible for her to switch from EAD to H1-B now after six months?
---- Yes, once she gets H1b approval notice she has to exit US get H1B visa stamped in passport re-enter US on H1B status she will get newI-94 at POE with H1 status
I know H1-B is far better than working on EAD in case the I-485 gets denied for any reason.
--- You are correct
