When I went for stamping, They didn't cancel the old expired visa on the old passport. They just asked for the new passport and stamped that one. They didn't even get the AP back - I specifically asked if they wanted it - they said 'no' - is this going to be a problem?
Thanks!

I already have extend / change nonimmigrant my Visa from B1/B2 visa to F1 since four months ago, can i cancel the F1 Visa because I am no longer wanted to study in the school, I want to travel to France to live in paris and return to the USA for a visit a year later, with the knowledge that the B1/B2 valid until 2013, can I cancel the F1 Visa and the use of B1/B2 the original Visa to return to visit USA after one year later .

--if the Visa is expired then what is the need to cancel it? Visa is not valid and you cant travel on Expired Visa.

------------ You got the Visa stamped and nobody knows it was H1 or H4 or L1 or P1 Or O1.

if you were eligible for Visa they stamped visa. What is the problem? they dont need AP for Visa stamping. AP is for entry to US if you dont have valid Visa to enter US.

Did you attend classes during most or all of those 4 months? Are you still inside the US?

If you didn't violate the terms of the F1 status, you can keep using your B1/B2. Just make sure to present the passport page with the B1/B2 when entering the US.

But if you didn't study at the school you got the F1 for, while continuing to stay in the US for 4 months, that can be seen as immigration fraud and you may not be able to use any visa for a long time.
