The popose of the email was for Confirmation number. Majority with Hotmail addresses didn't receive the email. I submitted three applicantions, one for me and two for my 2 brothers. I used yahoo address, did receive two emails from DOS for my two brothers and nothing for myself, i guess because i was one of the initial winners. But my friends applied for 7 friends with hotmail and only got one email from DOS.

Entered DV:Oct 18 2010 and Oct 25 2010.My 2 sisters i entered DV 4,got there confirmation mails.Email provider:Yahoomail.com 4 both of them and a friend also i entered for Oct 18 2010. He got the confirmation mail 2 on Yahoomail.com.But dnt think CM has anythn 2 do wt winnin.They re informin all qualified entry abt the cancellation of the old results and the new results which is dn and waitin 4 the uploadin while DOC storin the DATAs and CASE NUMBERs of winners.
My self Entered DV:Oct 13 2010.Confirmation mail dated May 16 2010 but received it May 19 2010.Email provider:Yahoomail.com.Strongly blieve that all these mails re to notify all the qualified entry abt the cancellation of the old results and abt the new results which i blieve they av redrawin random selections cos DOC does nt av that time of wastin any longer i think what they re doin nw is storin all the CASE NUMBERs and DATAs of the winners that is what i blieve cos they still av other thns to do wt there time so they wouldnt want anythn to jeopardise anythn at all.ONE LUV 9JA.

I notice some sense in wat diz guy is saying!!!!
I registered for 4 peoples (family & friends)
Person A: October 20th (i.e myself) I use a paid service in US, so they put their email..
Person B: October 24th
Person C: October 25th (morning)
Person D: October 25th (morning)
Person E: October 25th (evening)
So on May 1st (12:03am Kentucky Time & 5:03am my local time here), i check their status (in d following order - D - C – B – E- A) on the ESC website and none of was selected winner.
So i receive the confirmation email Kentucky was sending as at then. Using yahoomail, i receive confirmation email for Person E on May 18th and Person B, C,D on May 19th. Person A (me) i cant say cos i use paid service in US n they will put their email n address instead mine.
When i read diz post yesterday, i went ahead to my yahoo email and check all the full email headers for Person B, C , D & E to re-confirm.
Observations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If KCC are sending email according to those that check their result on the Entrance Status Check site first & didn’t won, Person E suppose to be d last i should receive!
IF KCC are sending email to all those that didn’t won atall/base on time & date of submission, Person E still suppose to be d last....
So people, it’s just an observation that i notice..........It’s a mere speculation.....July 15th still remains d reliable source.....thks
"new Winners" and "backups"
What I noticed is 2 batches of emails were sent, 1st batch on the 18th, 2nd on the 19th
So those that recieved the email on the 18th are the new 100k selectees, and those that recieved an email on the 19th are backups to the 100k selectees, because of all of the comotion and stuff that happened this year. note the number of people that recieved the email on 19 is huge maybe in the mills, but not alot recieved it on the 18, which was the first day of recieving emails.
this is my opinion, if you guys wanna start posting when you recieved your emails.

I know one couple andone of them received the email the other not, both entered and both were not selected on May 1st...

How does that change my theory? my assumption has nothing to do with X winners, all we want to know is the date they recieved the email, doesnt matter about those who didnt recieve it and doesnt matter about those who were X winner....all we wanna know 18th or 19th, and so far 6-1.

What about those who got it on 20th or 21st ? And regarding your theory.. why would they want... let's say 1-2 million "backups" ? That's way too many.

you guys are really funny, did you hear about something called "mass-mail" ?? do you think a server can send hundreds of thousands email in the same day? you must be ridiculous because you have no knowledge how smtp mail servers work.

The dates differ perhaps because of the different times zones.
My Confirmation mail was dated May 16 2011 and received it Thursday,May 19 2011 @ 02:20a.m.I think is a batch by batch thing and notifyin all the qualified entry abt the cancellation of results and abt the redrawin selection results to be out from July 15 2011,that's why u would see the words YOU HAVE SUBMITTED A QUALIFIED ENTRY in the email.Guys dnt panic Naija ll still have more winners no matter the huge 2 MILLION qualified entry.
