I just got married last week. I already submitted my 485 and the case is about to be approved soon. My lawyer say they will file petetion to join, but it is likely that my spouse's case will have to wait for a long time.

I am wondering whether anyone has similar experience in such a situation. Any problem with dependent's EAD/AP renewal, any problem with travelling abroad, any issue the I should be aware of in the future before my spouse's case is approved.

If your dependent is already here in US, just keeping renewing EAD and apply for new AP (5-6 months before expiry of current in both cases). That is all.
