Voter registrations are public records.
If the offender keep a low profile life, I doubt anyone would search it for a particular person. I am not saying one should not be honest but you can bet
a lot of people who registered to vote and even actually voted simply do not mention it on N-400 and get the citizenship and will keep it until theiur next life.
Even the person became a public figure, what would teh USCIS do? Annold Schawazinger (sp?) did not vote before he became a citizen but even if he had, and now someone exposed it I still doubt USCIS would bother to de-natualize him. Even if USCIS de-natualized and deport such a person, they did that person a great favor by making him more famout in history which is all policitican wants
