guys we one gets 221g does that mean its visa refused.lets say when i am filing a new ds156 its says have you been refused a US visa before.what does one need to say yes or no

I am not sure if 221(g) is actually a refusal. 221(g) usually means that the visa officer has asked for more information.

221(g) is a refusal of visa. 221(g) means lack of evidence or documents hence visa has been refused.

you have to mention in your future application about the refusal, else providing false information and being caught can lead to permanent bar .

visa revalidation docs - I 94

When you send your documents for Revalidation, does the I-94 specified in the list mean the last one stamped on arrival into the US which is usually already stapled on the passport or the bottom half of your new I-797 form. IF it is the new one, have you guys stapled it a different page of the passport or on the same one with your last I-94?

is W2 also required for visa revalidation

Hi All

I am sorry if I am asking this question at wrong thread. I have just received my H1 Extension approval(after 7 months wait??)
As you guys already submitted for renewal and getting approvals, can any of you suggest me what are the required docs for visa re-validation at SL/DC.

Is W2 also required? or just current payStubs enough? I have only 10months W2 as I joined in March2003( I have not used 2.5 years visa time. I came to US in Feb2003). I am worried, if I send W2 also, they may say it is less than LCA and throw query.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Just called DC Office. Finally got thru' after 30 minutes. They said that they are processing the validations requested in late november, early december. I sent my passport on 12/23/2003 (SL recd. 12/24/2003). When asked for the date when it reached DC office, they said they cannot answer that.

I Dont think they even ask for pay stubs leave alone W2 for revalidation as long as you are doing it in US itself, If you go to India for revalidation, then they could ask for W2 for the previous years and paystubs for the current year.
