Hi All

I just updated the list with my details.

Sent the application on Dec22(fedex), reached SL on 12/23/2003
Bank confirmend cheques have been cashed on 01/02/2004. I am assuming this is the day DC started processing(approx).

I called DC office today morning, wait 3 mins. Lady was polite but did not give details. She just asked me the date that I mailed the application and said they are still processing Dec 1st week.

Looking at some people who got their approvals
dec 17th, 19 and even 22, I am feeling good, may be ours will come soon too.(crossing fingers)

Hi All,

I just called up the Visa Center@ 202-663-1225 and after waiting for 10 mins spoke to a lady and she said my visa was received on Jan 8th at DC Office and the Visa has been Approved and is in the Print Queue.

Guys I did receive my passport today but without the visa stamp .They said I did not send the proper photographs.I called the DC office and they said I need to send proper photographs with a new completely filled forms DS156 ,DS157 and also they said to clearly mark the outside of the envelop with "221(g)".
and to send it directly to DC.These will get processed in 10 days.

Hoping for the best and getting prepared for the worst .

Got 221(g)

Hi All,

I got my passport back with 221(g) saying photo does not meet
the requirements specified in "Nonimmigrant Visa Photograph Requirements" sent it back with correct photo. Does anyone know
how long does it take to process 221(g) ?

Rajeevnara,

I also received a 221g because of the photograph.I called the DC visa office and they said it would take 10 days to process it .They said to mark the outside of the envelop with "221g" .This way our passport will not have to wait in the queue again and they would expedite the processing.I posted the PP back for revalidation today
 
Friends..
I also think when sending PPs that are returned for lack of documentation/photo requriements, the address is diferent from the one you would have sent originally for revalidation.

Check with the Government Website for all the details before sending it again.

Hi ashukd & Rajeevnara,

What exactly was the problem with your photos according to them? Didn't you send the photographs accoring to specification mentioned in the photographs requirement at their official website which was 50 * 50? Or they didn't accept the photographs may be because photographs were older than 6 months?
