currently on F1, what if H1 approved?

Does F1 becomes invalid or one can stay on both status till one reports to the job using H1 ?

Nobody can have 2 status' at the same time.
If it's COS, F1 gets void as soon as H1 start date comes. If not COS, F1 status remains valid, but H1 status wont be valid til entering the US w/ H1 stamp.
