In My case Reply to RFE was sent on 23rd March. I had a LUD on APr 4th and 5 Th. Hope this will be through very soon.

Hello,

What is the time period allowed to reply to an RFE on I-140 ?
Can anybody tell me ?

My I-140 was approved on 3/31/05 - exactly 100 days after they received my response to their RFE.

So the answer is anywhere from 5 to 100 days - can anyone beat 100?
 
How many days will it take to recieve the RFE?

Hi All,

Long journey for GC from August, 2001 is over.

I140/485 CONCURRENT: RD 6/4/05
I140: RFE 3/4/05, RFE received 3/17, AD 4/5/05
I485: AD 4/7/05

I hope everyone has prompt approval.
This forum has bee great help and thank you for that.

Did your I-140 application went thru overseas background check? just trying to findout the time frame for this check.

My attorney received it after exactly 14 days or so he says.
But I dont believe him completely.

Perhaps, I didnt phrase my question correctly.

How many days are given to us to respond to an RFE ?
Does INS allow 84 days from the day the RFE was issued to us ?

I am concerned because my lawyer seems to be sitting over a simple RFE, such as getting my employers signature on the I-140 forms.

Yes, 84 days from the date RFE was issued.
You will find the date in the email which u should have received regarding RFE.
But do check from attorney just to make sure.

My attorney is sitting over it the RFE.
My experience with them is that if 84 days has been given for an RFE, they will take as long to get even the simplest things done.

Hi, I get refs on march 31, 2005. Until today, We didn't receive it since the attorney move to the new address. Could you tell me when you receive it? thank you!
 
140/485 approved!

Yes, the waiting is finally over & I still can not believe it. Got bunch of automated emails this evening saying my cases have been approved..

It has been a long & painful waiting since June 2001.

Concurrent 140/485 RD - 07/23/2004
140 RFE - 02/22/2005, responded 03/31/2005
140/485 approved - 04/12/2005

I-485 of all my family members got approved on 4/14/2005 (recevied the email right now 4/18/2005) but yet to receive any notification on I-140. So I am not sure what to do now.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure I understood the question correctly --- After RFE notice (through email), it took 5 business days to receive the real notice via Snail mail. My lawyer replied to the RFE with in few days and USCIS confirmed the receipt via email. My case was approved on the 14th biz day after uscis received the reply.

Hello All,

Can anyone tell after how many days we send the RFE respone , does the online status change that they received my RFE response. My Lawyer send the RFE response on 04/15/2005 and I don't see the message change or the LUD change.
