3. Please also provide a Link to that aproval thead/post (it helps a lot in maintaining summary as well as users can goto that thread to ask questions).

Hi folks

recvd my RFE letter, asks for the following
1. Employment verification letter
2. last 3 months pay stubs
3. year 2001's tax re turns
am working with my lawyer to figure out the text of the employment verification letter.

My online case status changed on 11/7 and now says "An RFE was sent...." I changed employers after 180 days. I am pretty sure that the RFE is for paystubs, W2, EVL. I hope there is nothing else.

My lawyer, ex-INS employee, tells me that RFE for EVL is the norm rather than the exception. This is especially the case since my company shutdown its offices in the US and withdrew H1's (except mine). After I got my parole, I left the US and came back in before I got laid off (after 180 days) so I am in "AOS" and not H1 now. On the +ve side, lawyer tells me that all of his AC21 cases were approved.

I don't know whether to feel disappointed that I got an RFE or happy that my file was not just resumed but looked at !! Also, RFE is better now since I am presently employed.

My wife was issued an RFE for incomplete immunization on Sept 14'02. Her online case status says, "response rcvd Oct 4". Since she applied as a dependent, I guess her case won't be approved till mine is

I seem to be stuck with RFEs at every stage. Applied in 98.
I had RFE for Labor, I-140 and now for I-485. I had to use AC-21 portability because I got terminated, after 9 months of ND for I-485.

I received RFE on Oct 1. I sent response to the RFE (pay-stubs, W2 and Proof of employment for 2001) on Oct 22. The status changed to received on Nov 7.

Hope there are no more RFEs!!

Nothing alarming- just more delays.

Got RFE for my wife this week asking to submit complete medical examination. Last time when we submited we have not done test for TB because we were planning for baby that time. Now she is 7 months pregnant and we took waiver as those tests are not recommended during this time of pregnancy. Questions ? Any issue with this do INS keep this file open untill these tests are really done , asking to sumbit after preganancy ?

Any one with similar experience ??

EAD RFE

For wac-02-236-xxxxx (EAD Application) issued on 11/01/02 and received on 11/7/02. RFE is for copy of I-140 approval letter.

I guess this means there's some progress in INS. I was tired of seeing the same "resumed..." status for 10 months.

On Nov 20th my online status changed.
Saturday my lawyer received the RFE notice letter requesting for :

Employment Verification Letter
3 recent paystubs
2001 W2 form

Rfe doc submission delay..

Is there any advantage to submitting RFE related docs early as opposed to late..other than the obvious that you might get approved sooner.

In other words is there a trend that if you submit the rfe docs in say 2 weeks, then you get approved sooner, as opposed to you submit them in 4 weeks in which case the case sits on the shelf longer even after the docs are received ?

plus as per h1 related rfes I know that the INS allows 84 days ( 12 weeks ) to submit the docs, is that any differnt for 485 ?

My rfe still has not been submitted by the lawyer even after 3 weeks ( he has got all the docs too )!!!
