I485 Approved - 02056*****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,
I'd like to share a good news with you all.

My case has been approved on May 6, 2004.

My wife and I were almost near nervous breakdown these days because we didn't hear anything from INS since INS received our my reply to RFE on Apr 9, 2004.

According to my LC, I had to get paid $86,000 as annual salary, but I got paid less than that. So I worried very much. My H1 was expired, and I worked only with EAD card. If worst case happens, my wife and I had to sell cars and everything and go back to my country.

Anyways, things went well )
My advice to all other waiters is don't give up H1B visa even if you get EAD. And don't give up hope )

Good luck to you all, and I really appreciate all people in this forum and forum provider.

#13, forfoo , Surprised Approval: WAC-03-092-xxxxx

Hi,

Got a surprised approval email this morning which states that the I-485s of
both my wife and myself had been approved on May 6, 2004. I also checked
both the on-line information and called the USCIS automatic voice message
for double confirmation. Yes, both of them provide us the same surprised approval information. Here is my case data:

EB1-OR
- No Labor certificate required
- I-140: RD: Jan.2002
AD: Dec.2002 (Yes, it took almost 11 months to get approved).
- I-485: RD: Jan.30, 2003
AD: May 6, 2004 (As per the email notification, on-line message
and phone verification)
- 2 EAD and 2 AP (used AP three times, :)...).

So, could some one tell me how much time does it take to receive
the approval letter, in days? And also, who, my lawyer, myself or both,
will recieve the approval letter?

This forum is so great that I have been getting help and learning the latest
progress on I-485 application in the CSC center (now, called USCIS).

Thank everyone for helping us go through this lengthy and tough procedure!
May everyone gets his/her approval soon!

Immigrant Song - kashmir WAC-02-124 (I-485) approved on 5/7/2004

I was born in the land of ice and snow,
where the hot springs blow.
We came from a small island of Far East,
where the country used to prosper once in economy but will be gradually dying.
We came in the States to become U.S. Citizens and
to contribute to the World through America, the Land of Justice and Freedom,
so getting Green Cards was just the first step for us.

We have been fully committing to the United States.
We have no home to return in the counry we were born.
We have no relatives to rely on there.
However, U.S. Goverment has not had any respect to our commitment to America
just because we were foreigners.
We were just sad to know that fact and
we had no way but to fight for our rights against the goverment's injustice.

03/2001 Came in the States with my family (L1A)
07/2001 I-140 filed (EB1)
12/2001 Got involved in a car accident - In My Time of Dying

03/2003 INS to DHS/USCIS
04/2003 Project Kashmir started
09/2003 Project Ocean started

by 2008 Will get U.S. Citizenship
Our fight continues until achieving our goal to get U.S. Citizenship.
Also, as one of the original plaintiffs of I-485 Litigation against USCIS,
I am happy to fight through the end of our Litigation.
Actually, I have enjoyed this fight and I have learnt a lot.

I'd really appreciate Rajiv and his staffs giving us such a great chance to fight against U.S. Government and to meet great fellows supporting each other here at ImmigrationPortal.Com.

Privately, thanks to my boss who told me that she really wanted me to succeed in my carrier because of my commitment to the U.S. and who has supported my fighting against USCIS, even though I don't think she will read this message.
And thanks to my family, my beautiful wife and talented children, who let me focus fighting for such a long time.

Meanwhile, I'd like to spend my time a little bit more for my family,
and to resume challenging one of unresolved problem of mathematics.

At last, I am really happy to be here with such great people,
and I hope all of you will get approved soon.

Approved wac-020114 and some hints (Feb.2002 case)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks all for being a part of member here.
Both of mine and wife case has been approved yesterday.
Both are wac-02-114.....
My ND is around Feb.9.2002,
RD around Feb.21.2002 (Not very sure, bur around that )
1st FP may.2002 , 2nd FP Jan.2004
RFE last Saturday, Received this Monday and replied the same day.
RFE received by INS on Thursday, and finally approved yesterday.

Here is some hint that might help
1. Senator does works!!!!
Last Saturday I got a phone call, your know who it is---- An INS officer, she told me she just saw the request from Senator, and she found my cell phone in my letter to Senator, so she decide to call me. She told me she was going to fax the RFE now, and she also told to hold my case on her desk for a while so that once she got RFE, she will decide approval ASAP. Since I do not have Fax machine at home, she then faxed to the lawyer.
Thanks Lord that the lawyer's fax machine is on, we reply it and sent back used expedite mail and also we faxed back a copy of all documents too, because the fax cover has the fax number and her work station number.

Here is detail of My RFE
http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=124982

2. Hint two, be prepared and not everything
Anything could happen without known.
So have all the common RFE prepare, like EVL, w2s and pay stubs ready.
You may want to get a fax machine too.
But for other stuff, like medical, do not do unless they specify.
In my case, my wife missed some of medical when we applied 485 on Feb.2002, she had baby at that time, so we waived some of stuff, the decide to give medical RFE later. I almost have my wife to redo her medical test to prepare for her potential RFE, but you know what, they just approved my wife case without asking for that. lol..

3. about the date of INS date, looks like they have at least one day delay between the real status and website update .Here is my detail
a.My RFE is generated on May.1 last Saturday.
The web site update is on May.4, it does say the RFE was on May.1
And my wife's case last update date was changed to May.4, but no status change
b. My RFE was received on May.4 from the Fedex tracking,
The web site was updated on May.7, but it said my RFE was received on May.6, not May.4
My wife does not have changed , still last updated on May.4
c. The cases was approved May.7 yesterday, but the web site status just changed this Morning.

All the email are received on the morning when the web site status changes; and each time they generate the same email twice (what a waste if they have lots of messages in the queue) .

4.Good Luck to all, INS are working hard over the weekend for our cases, yours will be there soon.

5. Do not just wait, raise and at least do something, like fax inquiry

#18, r2xhc, I-485 approved without RFE, Need Stamping information

Hi,

My case was approved on May 03, 2004, I was surprised that no RFE asked, I changed my job after filing I-485 180 days, my case was EB2.

I would like to know passport stamping information in Atlanta office, what kind of document I should bring with me, APs, EADs, passport, photos, I-94, should I bring old I-94 record copies? My approval notice is courtesy copy, should I bring the official copy which received by my attorney? If you had experience recently, please share with me, I will appreciate your help.

Thank you,
