April waiter - RFEfor w2 from 1998

Can\'t believe this. They asked for W2 from 1998 through 2001, letter of employment etc.

INS lost form of attorney rapresentation (G28??), before they forgot to order the EAD after the approval (got it six months later). This joke is lasting six years but I will beat those sons of.....

Am I the only one subjected to such a lengthy inquiry? I paid taxes since 1995, they should be able to see whether I\'m employed or not.

Got to tell someone, this brotherhood is suffering as much as I am but we will succeed!

Lawyer is sending an inquiry

Hi Guys,

Talked to my lawyer and he told me that any case that has been pending for 180 days or more
can be formally inquired on.

So he is sending an inquiry to INS for my I-485 filed bak in april 2001.

Lets see what happens.

I recommend all of you guys to send inquiries via your lawyers.

ND 03/22/2001 and RD 04/11/2001

Hi ddkin and april_csc_485,

My case is a little worse than you all. My 485 notice date is 03/22/2001 and receipt date is 04/11/2002. FP was done on 10/13/2001. Spoke to IIO and they said that they have not received the FP report and the FBI says that the report was sent to INC California Center, Laguna Niguel on 10/13/2001. The message on the AVM has not yet changed. Did you all send the fax inquiry on your own or did you all have your lawyers do it for you. Can somebody guide me to the fax inquiry form and probably the fax # where the inquiry should be sent. There is something abnormal here. People who got finger printed in Jan, 2002 are getting approved and we are waiting from Oct. and Nov. Any help in this regards will be much appreciated.

By the way my WAC # is WAC-01-155-*****

Thanks

Paras

Did the IIO say that your FP report was received or not?

I have a similar situation where I got finger prints done on 10/13 and the FBI says the report was sent to the INS California Service Center. When I called up the IIO they said that th FP report was not received but the case was assigned. Some people say that if your case is assigned to an officer that means the FP report is received but is another system. My lawyer said that the case being assigned does not imply that the FP report is received and is being worked on. The AVM for my case is not updated. If you could please explain your situation it would really help.

Thanks

How come IIO told different fax numbers for duty officer of I-485 cases ?????

April_csc_485 was instructed to send fax by (949) 389-3484. As I know, this fax number if for Division IV instead of Division I. However, at the first time I was asked to send to Duty Officer by 949-389-3055 because of FP notice for I-485;
At the sencond time, I was instructed by another IIO to send fax to duty office for my I-485 case by 949-389-3486.

Then, I am confusing about it now. Which fax number for I-485 case is correct????

why IIO told people different fax numbers of duty officer for I-485 cases ???

I had same problem

One IIO told me (949) 389-3484 another one told me
949-389-3486. I sent the fax to both numbers. I received
response from (949) 389-3484. Looks like faxing is useless.
INS replied with standard JIT report.

Here is one more

RD: 04/06/2001
ND: 04/24/2001
FP: 12/07/2001(Done) 12/28/2001(SCheduled)
WAC #: WAC-01-165-XXXXX

Called INS couple of times, got conflicting answers.
In December IIO said they have rcvd FP and everything is OK.
When I called recently they said they don\'t have anything on FP.
Lawyer asked me to wait atleast 6 months(after FP).
Faxed an inquiry last week.
Waiting..........

Dependant\'s case Feb RD still pending

Rest of family got approval in Nov just one dependant that also a minor is pending.
RD Feb 01
ND March 01
FP Aug 01

Not approved as yet.

Still waiting. My lawyer is sending a formal writting inquiry and I am planning to send in a FAX inquiry as well. Has anybody done something like that before? Any experiences to share will help.

Thanks

same boat, RD Mar. 01, FP done late Jan. 02

People said INS ajudicate case based on RD, seems not exactly true, why our cases are all delayed so badly, is it because we did FP so late?

On 03/19, I will send inquiry to duty officer about my case ... pending for one year

Did fingerprint on 2/12/02, checked the status with IIO last week, nothing was new, IIO asked me to send fax inquiry to officer.
My case has not even assigned to any officer. Very ridiculous.
