Crossing the us/canada border daily

Can a US citizen live in canada and work in the US? Is it OK to cross the border daily without breaking the law?

Canada has immigration laws not unlike the US. Apply for Canadian permanent residency. Its actually much easier to obtain than the US green card/permanent residency.
