CP help after NVC letter - urgent

Hi Gurus

This about my uncle's GC application. He was in USA for six years and his company applied for GC while he was working. He left to india after completion of six years(in August 2001) while his application was processing in USA. After his I-140 approval, the same company applied for CP. He has received a letter from NVC saying that his application has been sent to Chennai counsulate and wait for the appointment package. Also they asked him to get ready with 'tax documents from last three years' & supporting financial proof that is current at the time of the interview'

My question is first about the tax documents. He has been staying in india from last two and half years. This means does he has to submit the tax returns here in India??? From last two and half years he didn't work anywhere. Is that going to be a problem???

Can anyone can support him from USA financially???

Finally how long does it takes to get appointment package???

{He needs to carry the tax filings copies from 1999, 2000 and 2001 that
he would have filed with IRS, US.

If he has not worked in India for the last 2 and 1/2 years he can
explain the situation to the consular officer}

Can anyone can support him from USA financially???

{If his is an employment category why would he need support from
anyone??}

Finally how long does it takes to get appointment package???

{It usually takes 2 to 2 1/2 months for the consulate fix the appointment
after it receives the file. The candidate would receive the Packet 4
about a month before the interview date}

About the financial support, actually NVC mentioned in the letter that he should get ready with financial proof. anyway thanks.
