$265 is for processing application fee. Once you have aspproved for Immigrant Visa, you have to pay the $65 for Issuance fee.

there is kind of confusion for me..DO_CP have you send any DD to st.louice.

i think for all who are not going thru AC-140 but natural CP process through St.louise->NVC->mumbai con. dont have to get 260$ DD...

correct me if i am wrong?

1.I have a PCC from the Chicago CG. Do I need a PCC from the local police station ?
2. I have already paid $260.00 by demand draft with my P3 application - per the new process. Do I still need to pay an additional $260.00 during the interview ?
3. I-134 - what supporting documents do we need ?

H1 related questions asked in CP?

DO_CP,
I hv 2 questions for U.I had started working for my employer even before my H1 was filed (Due to bungling by the attorney).Subsequently my H1 was approved and I had to go to India for stamping.Even though technically it was regularised,but there was a period of few months where I was working without H1 approval.Will this be an issue when I go for my CP IN Mumbai? Also my current salary is slightly less than that stated in the labor.Would these issues pose problems for me in CP? Thanks.

- no, you dont need PCC from the local police station.
- since you have already paid $260 with your P3 application, you donot need to make additional $260 DD. However you will have to make $65 DD for issuance of IV.
- Documents of support for wife......
  Filled I-134 form notarized in U.S
  Bank statement for the last 12 months.

- I cannot say how the COnsulate would react to this gap that you have in H1. Just hope for the best. I am not sure, but i thought with new laws you could start working with the new employer as soon as they file for H1 or as soon as they file H1 transfer.

- Your current salary has to be equal to or more than what was stated in Labor.

But do they check if you were ever out of status in CP? Did they ask for any H1 related questions?
Also salary mentioned in the labor is for future and the employer will give a letter stating that they intend to pay the salary later.
Any inputs????

I have interview on 25th June 9:30 am
Any comments on how realistic this estimates are ( trying to figure out about the total cash/travellers check I should carry (being a non-resident Mumbaite).
Heads: Me + Spouse + Kid (american born)

Expense items:
Hotel+ Meal+ local Transportaion for seven days ( RS.2000 X 7 = 14000)
== $285 round up to $300
Medical Expenses (Rs 3000) == $65
Photo: (300-500?) == say $10
Visa + issuance fees (2) : 28665.00 == $650.00

Total $1000 travellers check/cash sounds like a realistic idea? Off course I will be carrying my credit card.
 
DO_CP, Empl. Verification Letter needs future salary to be mentioned ??

DO_cp and experts,

I have CP interview at Mumbai in June.

My company is giving me Employee Verification Letter on Company\'s letter head, saying that \'current salary is $67000\'. But not mentioning that, in future, after approval of greencard, we will pay $72000(mentioned in labor). Is it okay ???

Is it required to mentioned future salary(LC Salary) in Employee verification Letter ??
