Covering Shifts while on TN Status

I am working under TN in the US for a major chain, my application is filed for that specific store, My manager is planning on having me covering shifts for other nearby stores, the pay check is still coming from the same company and payroll department, these other stores are in a different metropolitan area than I am working at, almost 3 and a half hours away driving, same state as well.

Is that safe to cover these shifts? or should I refuse taking them?

it seems like other stores are merely extension of the main store. TN is not location specific so IMO you'll be fine

although it may be legal from a TN perspective, why is your employer asking you to drive 3.5 hours to another location to work?
a good reputable company would compensate you for the mileage (usually $0.50 per mile) and any hotel and food expenses away from primary job location. Are you being compensated?
