Could you please help confirm my checklist for N-400 filing

Hello All,

Before I file my N-400, I want to get confirmation from you:

1) filled in N-400 form
2) 2 passport photoes
3) a check (595+80=$675)
4) send above 3 to proper INS address

am I missing anything here? Thanks.

You need to write name on the back of the photos (read instructions) and also, a front and back copy of your GC. Also, there are different addresses for different type of postal delivery services. Check that.
 
If you have any tickets, list them in application. Any fine over $500 needs proof of payment to be submitted along with application. Any fine less than $500 no receipt/proof is to be sent along with application.

Check form for spelling errors (it's photos, not photoes..only Dan Quale writes it as photoes).:D

Photocopy of GC (back and front is needed as well.)

One more question I found out on the "document checklist":

If you answer “No” to any of Questions 1 through 5 in Part 8 of form N-400, send: A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper

But, in Part 8 of N-400, it's a 'information about your marital history', there's no question 1 to 5; and the only place on Part 8 that says 'Yes' or 'No' is 'is your spouse a U.S. citizen?'

Could anyone verify that part for me?

I found out from the link www.uscis.gov/files/article/M-476.pdf

check the 'Document Checklist page' (the page after page 47), the second page of 'Document Checklist', look for 'If you answer “No” to any of Questions 1 through 5 in Part 8 of form N-400, send', then you will know what I'm asking.

All you need to send along with n-400 form is:

- application form completed
- copy of GC (front and back)
- $675 fee (write your A# as suggested)
- two passport size photos (wirte your full name as suggested)

You don't need to send anything else now. Is your case marriage based?
