I received my renewed EAD card from the service center. I found F instead of M under sex . My present one expires dec 24th.
I don't know if that is ok for the employment. Could somebody advise me what to do to correct it before my present one expires?

Check the form you filed up for EAD, if you provided correct info then it is BCIS service center mistake. In cover letter write the mistake on EAD card and send the EAD card back to USCIS service center and write out side the envelope in bold “ USCIS Mistake on EAD card please correct” send it by return receipt mail. You can also go to local BCIS office if they can correct the mistake on EAD (I am not sure)

Thanks Ginnu,
I applied for myself and my spouse at the same time. Unfortunately, I don't have the copy of my application. I am not sure if it was my mistake or USCIS mistake as i filled the form online and took print out and mailed it.There was a chance that i overlooked changing the button after printing my spouse's Application, since i used the same application.
I called the customer sevice number and they asked me to send all the relavant copies and the EAD card back along with a check .And a letter requesting waiver of fee if it was uscis mistake. She did not know the time frame for all this process.
I have no problem to comply with that, but i am worried about the time it will take. I don't know if the local office can be of any help.

sv747, I am exactly on the same boat

I sent correction request two times, its been a month+ I haven't heard anything. I doubt INS can do anything in swiftly manner if there is any mistake. In your case I would not even worry about any correction. Mine was totally year backwarded validity dates mistake, that needs to be corrected. Haven't heard anything on my requests.

gheewalabhai888,
I sent back the card along with previous ead copy and DL copy to TSC. I am waiting for the corrected one. I don't know if i can legally work mean while as i don't have the card . what about your position? wher did you send your's?

here's the procedure how to correct

First talk with them and request them to look at your application.
If they made any mistake you will receive a letter from them.
Other wise you will need to apply again. The letter will explain you what need to do.
Take a copy of the letter for your records.
In case if they made any mistake, send your wrong card only after getting your new corrected card.
Have copies of both cards.
Send your wrong card along with their original letter.
send post with delivery confirmation receipt.

Good luck
