It is a moving sight to see so many people turn out and defy the terrorists. The power of democracy is infectious. Thanks to the resolute leadership of President Bush And PM Blair, Iraq now has a future.

I rejoice in the success of the Iraqi elections. It is a tribute to the courage of its people and to the vision of George Walker Bush.

You are shiaa so you are happy but if you are Sunni, it is your worst day, simply because stupid Bush will help create an iran-like islamic government in iraq. Read all major analysts: they expressed their concerns that most candidate are pro-Iran and will lobby the creation of an islamic government that resembles that of Iran. We will end up getting another Khomeny in Iraq thanks to the incompetent bastard Bush.

Nop!

do not ever expect anything good coming from our ass commander in chief. This bastard, with his stupidity and idiocy, will cause the rise of a new islamic government in iraq, one that resembles that of Iran. Check this piece of news and see how Iran is excited about this election. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050130/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iran_iraq_elections_2

The last thing we want in the Middle East is another Khomeny bastard and guess what, thanks to Bush, we will end up getting one. Godddddddddddddddddddd I hate stupid people.

Well one thing we know for sure..YOu can't change the islamic world. They have been living like this for thousands of years. You can't show democracy to people who don't know the taste of it.

I think America should leave them alone and let them rule however they want to be ruled. Iraq was a peaceful country..So is Iran and North Korea..There was no need for the war even if Saddam was evil to his people..

I started this thread to congratulate Iraqi Nationals and If you feel like trashing Bush and US foreign policy or show your knowledge in history and fortune telling (some of you are very good at this) I suggest please start a new thread.

Germany and Japan were racist powers that wanted to dominate the world. Their choice of democracy came from within after suffering a defeat to their egos. Iraqis were already beat up by a president who was installed by Rumsfeld and Reagan. They posed no threat to the free world. They also suffered from a 10-year embargo that caused the death of millions of their children. In short, they were nothing and threatened noone. At the time of WWII, America preached democracy for the sake of democracy not because an oil-thirst demonic dry alcoholic bastard wanted to control the oil of the world. Do not compare the heroes of WWII to a thug like Bush. It is abhorrent to do so. Kiev, comparing a man who killed 100000 Iraqi people and 1400 Americans without any ethical or legal excuse with a man like FDR who saved the world from global European fascism does not reflect a good study of history on your part.

You are hopeless.

Please do not insult our intelligence. shamshon has a good and supported point, unlike echoing this "DUBYA" guy (http://www.dubyaspeak.com/) who is in hot waters now and does not know what to do. May be you should advise him, or I tell you what, please do not!

First it was the WMDs, then it was democracy, next will be sending all asylees to serve in Iraq as land mines sweepers :D .

We went there to find weapons of mass destruction, not to instill democracy. Now it is convenient for the failing ass Bush to claim a new role for us. Shame!

Maybe somebody with the same degree of intelligence as some of you will bring some reason:

This author has been infamous for changing his minds all the time. Read his work: First he was for the vietnam war and then he was against it. First he was against Clinton's "do not ask do not tell rule" in the military, then he changed his mind. Conservatives, who made fun of Kerry for flip flopping, should not use another flip flop to support their views.
