Hello, I am a USC. My current fiancé came from china last fall with conditional admission to the university here (pending GMAT and TOEFL) and of course she had an F-1 to do so. Before being able to gain full acceptance to the graduate program, she took course at the English language department until May. It was during this time that we met and fell in love (we met in January). At that time she had taken the GMAT a couple of times, but was pretty far short of the required score. She went back to China in May to visit family (planning on passing the test in china and returning in early August). Well, before taking the test, she applied for a renewal to her F1 and that was about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, she didn't pass it again. We applied her to a new program that didn't require the GMAT, and they rejected her application.
So now, as it stands, she may get the F1 renewed (we don't know) but she is not able to attend any program this fall. Assuming she gets the F1:
1. Should she come to the US and marry me, then apply to stay?
2. File for a K1 before she comes (and possibly before the renewed F1 goes through)?
3. Other option that I haven't thought about?
Of course we wish to reunite asap, and start our lives together.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
